When it comes to developing iOS apps with Python, two commonly mentioned methods are Kivy and PyQt. There are plenty of articles online about Kivy, but I haven’t come across any about PyQt (at least to my knowledge). No matter how much I searched the internet, all I found were posts questioning, "Is it really possible?"
So, I decided to take the plunge and try compiling a PyQt sample app for iOS.
As a result, after making a few minor modifications, I was able to build & run the app on the iOS simulator (at least on my Apple Silicon M2 Mac). In this tutorial, I will describe the process. However, I am a beginner in both Python and Qt, so I apologize in advance if I make any mistakes.
This tutorial assumes basic knowledge of Qt and Python.
